Madeleine Freeland
Founder & Executive Director
Madeleine Freeland founded She-Empowers Initiative (SEI) while still in high school, driven by a desire to create lasting change for women and girls in marginalized communities. During a year-long internship working closely with local businesses in Nigeria, Madeleine witnessed firsthand the resilience of women entrepreneurs and the immense challenges they faced—from limited access to education and financial resources to systemic barriers that perpetuated poverty.

Altine Silas
Field Officer
Altine is a data entry expert with a passion for ensuring accuracy and efficiency. With 7 years of experience, Altine specializes in data collection and management. She is dedicated to helping organizations grow by providing high-quality data collection services, enabling informed decision-making and strategic growth.

Musa Esther
Health Officer
Musa Esther is a dynamic professional with a strong background in science, public health, and community service. She holds an HND in Biology/Microbiology, a PGD in Public Health, and has completed her NYSC. Her career spans roles as a laboratory scientist, sales representative, sales promoter, receptionist, and healthcare trainee with She Empowers Initiatives, where she championed women’s health advocacy and empowerment. Recognized for excellence, she has won several awards, including Best Sales Promoter of the Year, for her innovative strategies and outstanding results. Esther has also completed multiple trainings in child protection, gender based violence, first aid, and policy advocacy. Skilled in research, administration, communication, and health education, she combines scientific expertise with practical experience to deliver impactful solutions. Passionate about growth, innovation, and service, she is committed to contributing meaningfully to organizational success and national development.

Samaila Magdalene Bailat
Finance Officer
Samaila Magdalene Bailat is a graduate of accounting from Gombe state University, Dedicated and highly motivated professional with over a decade of experience in finance. administration, education, and customer service. Known for a strong work ethic, integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrates leadership, attention to detail, and a consistent ability to adapt and contribute meaningfully in dynamic and challenging environments, she is a financial officer at she-empowers initiative, where she help the organization navigate the financial challenges.

Shukuran Hauwa Adamu
Education Advocacy Officer
Shukuran Hauwa Adamu is an Education Advocacy Officer at She-Empowers Initiative. She holds a Bachelor of Technology in Library and Information Science from the Federal University of Technology, Yola, and a Master of Science in Information Management from Bayero University, Kano. As a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (LRCN), she combines her expertise in information management with her passion for creating opportunities for women and girls. Shukuran is deeply committed to advancing education, empowerment, and community growth, believing that when women and girls thrive, entire societies are transformed.

Rahab Dikko
Program Manager
Rahab Samaia Dikko is a passionate development practitioner and graduate of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, where she obtained a degree in Business Education and Management. With a strong background in business development, management, and administration, she has dedicated her career to supporting individuals and groups in building sustainable livelihoods and strengthening their entrepreneurial capacities.

Joshua Abdullahi
Field Officer
Joshua Abdullahi is an accomplished building expert with over 4 years of experience in project supervision, development, coordination, renovation, and sustainable development. He has worked with private stakeholders, project managers, and research institute to drive innovation solutions for greener future. Joshua is passionate about environmental development, sustainability, and energy efficiency. He holds a B. Tech in Building, Higher Diploma Architecture and certificate in career center programmer. Currently, he works as a field officer at She-Empowers Initiative and helps navigate the complexity of sustainability and climate change.

Ayuba Naa'ti
Administrative Assistant
Ayuba Na’ati is a graduate of economics from Adamawa state university, with a strong foundation in economics theory and practice, she developed a passion for analyzing and addressing economic challenges, Na’ati engage in collaborative learning experience that honed critical thinking and problem solving skills, she is committed to drive economic growth and meaningful impact, currently she works as an Admin and communication officer at She-Empowers Women and Girls initiative.
